# Spotlight rewards

> Featured rewards with extra visual treatment

Spotlight is a display treatment that promotes specific rewards. A spotlight reward has the same underlying mechanics as any other reward — it's just presented with additional visual emphasis on the community home, in reward lists, and in the widget.

## Where spotlight appears

* **Community home** — a spotlight panel or banner highlights the featured reward.
* **Reward card** — the card is styled with an extra overlay / badge so it stands out.
* **Wallet** — if you've already earned a spotlight reward, its asset keeps the spotlight treatment in the wallet.
* **Widget** — widgets with the spotlight section enabled show the featured reward prominently at the top.

## Time-limited spotlights

Spotlight rewards are often tied to a schedule — a window during which the reward is promoted. When the window ends, the reward either unschedules (remains available without the spotlight) or becomes a "Missed Out" card, depending on the reward's schedule configuration.
