Installing Nudj takes a few clicks from the Shopify App Store. Once it’s installed, the app lives inside your Shopify admin and connects itself to your store automatically — there’s nothing to copy, paste, or configure by hand.

Install the app

Open the Nudj listing in the Shopify App Store

Find Nudj in the Shopify App Store and select Install. You’ll be taken to your Shopify admin to continue.

Review and approve the permissions

Shopify then shows you the access Nudj needs — for example, reading your products and orders so it can power rewards and track activity. Review the list and select Install again to approve it.

Wait for the connection to finish

Nudj connects to your store and sets itself up in the background. This usually takes a few seconds. When it’s done, the Nudj app opens inside your Shopify admin.
Your store is connected to a Nudj community — the container that holds your points, rewards, members, and settings. This happens automatically on install; you don’t need to create one yourself.

Where to find Nudj after installing

Nudj runs as an embedded app inside your Shopify admin. To open it any time:
  1. In your Shopify admin, go to Apps in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Nudj.
Everything in this guide — rewards, achievements, referrals, members — is managed from this embedded app. You never need to log in to a separate dashboard for day-to-day work.
Nudj’s embedded admin is optimised for mobile, so you can manage your programme from the Shopify mobile app on your phone, not just on desktop.

Finish the onboarding checklist

The first thing you’ll see after install is a getting-started checklist. It’s the fastest path from a fresh install to a working programme. Each step is checked against your real settings, so a step only ticks off once it’s genuinely done — and it reappears if you later remove the thing it was tracking. The checklist covers the minimum needed for your storefront widgets and rewards to work:

Confirm your store is connected

Verify the store is linked to your Nudj community. This is done for you during install.

Pick a theme for your widgets

Choose a theme preset so the storefront widgets match your brand. You can fine-tune it later.

Enable the loyalty widget

Turn on the storefront loyalty widget so shoppers can see and use your programme.

Add your first reward

Configure a baseline reward shoppers can earn. See Set up your loyalty programme.

Add an achievement

Add at least one achievement so there’s something to earn points for. The achievement template library is the quickest way to do this.
A built-in wizard can walk you through these first steps without leaving the checklist, ticking each item off as you complete it.

Nudj admin vs. the embedded app

Almost everything a merchant needs lives in the embedded app inside Shopify. There’s also a full Nudj admin at admin.nudj.cx for organisation-level features and advanced settings. Some screens in the Shopify app deep-link you straight into the full admin when you want to go deeper — for example, to tweak an advanced leaderboard or game setting.
