Master the art of community engagement through strategic posting that drives meaningful conversations and builds lasting connections.

Post patterns

These are editorial recipes, not a setting you pick. Posts have no “type” field, so every pattern below is built from the same handful of controls: the Featured toggle, the Comments and Likes toggles, scheduling, and campaigns.
  • Setup: Disable comments, enable likes, turn on Featured
  • Strategy: Clear, official tone with important information upfront
  • Timing: Peak community hours for maximum visibility

Key Best Practices

Content Quality

  • Use conversational, approachable language
  • Lead with most important information
  • Include clear calls-to-action
  • Check how it reads in light and dark modes

Visual Standards

  • High-resolution images (1440x1440px recommended)
  • Consistent branding and style
  • Keep essential words out of the image, since posts carry no alt text
  • Mobile-friendly formatting

Timing Strategy

  • Schedule during peak community activity
  • Convert to your own timezone first (see below)
  • Coordinate with campaigns and events
  • Maintain consistent posting rhythm

Engagement Focus

  • Create conversation opportunities
  • Moderate comments promptly
  • Feature community members
  • Watch likes and comments per post
Three limits worth knowing before you plan around them.
  • Scheduling has no timezone picker. Start and end times follow your own browser, so if your audience sits in another region, do the conversion yourself before typing the time in.
  • You can’t reply to comments from the admin panel. Moderation is delete-only. To answer a member, go into the community and reply as a member.
  • Posts have no alt-text field. Anything essential should live in the post text rather than baked into the image.

Quick Tips

Content Calendar Ideas:
  • Monday: Motivational content
  • Wednesday: Educational how-tos
  • Friday: Community highlights
  • Weekend: Discussion-focused posts
Engagement Techniques:
  • Ask specific, thought-provoking questions
  • Share behind-the-scenes content
  • Celebrate member achievements
  • Pose a two-way question and let members answer in the comments. Posts have no poll, so the comment thread is the vote.
Measuring what works:
  • The posts list and the post sidebar show likes and comments per post. That’s the measure Nudj gives you today, so judge posts on it.
  • Gather community feedback regularly
  • Adjust strategy based on seasonal patterns
Don’t plan around analytics that aren’t there. Posts have no A/B testing, no view counts, and no per-type performance breakdown. The Total Views and Avg Engagement Rate tiles on the posts analytics page are placeholders and always show a dash. Build your measurement around likes and comments.
