Organization Settings

Your Organization settings control the high-level configuration that applies to all your communities. This is where you manage your identity, your billing, and the “permanent” decisions about how your data is stored.
Note: Changing organization settings often requires Owner permissions.

General Configuration

Navigate to Control Room > Settings > General.

1. Organization Identity

  • Legal Name: Your official business name.
  • Support Email: The address users see when they click “Support.” We recommend a branded address like [email protected].
  • Public Website: Your main corporate URL.

2. The Subdomain (Your Nudj URL)

Every organization gets a default URL like yourbrand.nudj.cx.
  • How it’s generated: Based on the name you chose during sign-up.
  • Can I change it?: Yes, but it’s a “Big Move.” Changing your subdomain will break all existing links you’ve shared.
  • Recommendation: Use a Custom Domain (e.g., community.yourbrand.com) as early as possible so you never have to worry about the Nudj subdomain.

3. Data Residency (Permanent)

Nudj offers isolated data hosting in the US and EU.
  • Where is my data?: You can see your active region in the General settings.
  • Why can’t I change it?: For security and compliance reasons, data cannot be moved between regions after an organization is created. If you need a different region, you must create a new organization.

Organization-Wide Branding

While each community can have its own look, the Organization Logo is your “Master Brand.”
  • Fallback Logo: If you create a new community and don’t upload a logo, this is what users will see.
  • Admin Branding: This logo appears in the top-left of your Admin Control Room for all your team members.

Security & Compliance

Session Management

Control how long team members stay logged into the admin panel before being asked to re-authenticate.
  • Recommended: 24 hours for most teams; 2 hours for high-security enterprise environments.

Data Privacy

Manage your organization-wide privacy settings, including:
  • Default Cookie Consent: How you handle tracking (using tools like OneTrust).
  • GDPR/CCPA Contacts: The designated email for data deletion requests.

Billing & Subscription

Manage your plan, see your usage limits (Users, Communities, API calls), and download invoices.
  • Usage Meters: Nudj shows you real-time meters for your monthly active users.
  • Overages: If you exceed your plan limits, your communities stay live, but you’ll be prompted to upgrade to the next tier.

Next Step: Manage your Team Members and Roles.
