Template types

Platform templates

Shipped with Nudj — curated examples for common use cases (onboarding, weekly engagement, product launch, etc.).

Org-specific templates

Your team’s reusable patterns. Admin-only (#2416) by default.

Community-level copies

Copy-an-item (#1412) from any existing content — clones the whole thing minus date fields.

Template UI in the admin panel

The template management UI moved into the admin panel (#888) — no more flipping between admin and a separate tool. Access via Settings -> Content Templates.

Super-admin gated templates

Some platform-level templates are super-admin only (#926) — they represent advanced patterns (e.g. a custom integration-driven challenge) that require careful setup.

Admin-only default templates

Templates shipped as “default on new community” (#2416) are locked to admin-role editing. This prevents accidental edits to your team’s baseline patterns.
The fastest way to create a “from template” content is Copy / Duplicate Items (#1412):
  1. Open the source item.
  2. Row menu -> Duplicate.
  3. Rename + pick new schedule (date fields are excluded from the copy).

Admin API

Template management is exposed via the Admin API — /admin/content-templates endpoints. Useful for programmatic rollouts across many communities.
