Starting a challenge

You can open a challenge from:
  • A card on the community home.
  • The challenges tab / list.
  • A direct or deep link (for example a link shared in email or the widget).
The first time you open a challenge, you see the challenge detail page with a summary, description, action list, and expected rewards. Tap Start to enter the action wizard.

The action wizard

The action wizard is a full-screen step-by-step flow. It loads over the current page as an intercepted modal route — so closing it returns you to where you were. See Action wizard for the full flow. Inside the wizard you:
  1. See the current action with its input type (question, upload, rating, etc.).
  2. Enter your response or complete the action.
  3. Tap Next (or equivalent) to move to the next action.
  4. Repeat until all actions are complete.

Progress indicators

  • The challenge card on the community page reflects completed actions as you progress — partial progress is visible without opening the challenge.
  • Inside the wizard, a progress bar or step dots show how many actions remain.

Skipping

If a challenge allows skipping, you’ll see a Skip option in the wizard. Skipped actions may forfeit that action’s reward but typically don’t block the challenge from completing.

Correct-answer enforcement

For question actions with enforced correctness, the wizard keeps you on the action until you choose a correct answer. Some configurations cap attempts or award partial points.

Completing a challenge

When the final action is done, you land on the recap screen. See Recap.

Next challenge suggestion

If the community has the feature enabled, the recap screen offers a suggested next challenge you can start without returning to the list.

Leaving mid-challenge

You can close the wizard at any time. In-progress state is saved — reopening the challenge resumes where you left off. Repeatable challenges start a fresh attempt each time.

Scheduled challenges

If a challenge is scheduled, you can only enter the wizard during its active window. Outside the window you see a preview or coming-soon state. Admins previewing scheduled challenges can access the wizard for testing via a preview mode.
