Some reward assets are time-limited: once you’re granted the asset, you have a fixed window to redeem it before it expires. The timer on the asset shows how long you have left.

How it behaves

  • The timer starts when the asset is allocated to you (not when the reward was first created).
  • When it reaches zero, the asset transitions to Expired and can’t be redeemed.
  • Expired assets remain visible in your wallet for reference.

  • On the asset card in the wallet.
  • On the asset detail page.
  • Optionally on the spotlight / featured card when the reward carries an expiry.

Allocation without redemption

If a reward was allocated to you but the community allows immediate use (no sign-in required to claim), the expiry timer starts at allocation. You don’t need to log in or refresh — the clock is already counting.

What to do

Redeem sooner rather than later. If you can’t redeem in time, the asset expires and the points (if spent) are not refunded — check the community’s redemption policy if you think something went wrong.
